They call me Mr. Murphy. Now, how could anyone resist
such an adorable face? I was picked up with my brother by a nice couple
while they were on vacation. We had been hanging around the park for a
couple of weeks. The park ranger said we probably were dumped off. So we
wouldn't get hit on the road, they took us to the local dog pound only
to find out it was a barn with cages where we would be held for 72 hours
for our owners to come claim us. Yeah right, like anyone was coming
looking for us! We would then be put to sleep because no one comes there
to adopt dogs. That meant by Monday morning we were going to be in big
trouble! Marlene, our new friend frantically worked all weekend to find
us a rescue or no-kill shelter. Everyone was full. Oh dear. She called
Buckeye BC Rescue & explained that we were such very nice little guys.
They were full also, but our new friend offered to hold us a couple of
days when space would open. Marlene appeared right away on Monday
morning & bailed us out! Whew! That was close!!! We had a grand time on
the car ride to rescue. I am in a foster home learning everything I need
to know to be a great companion dog & my brother is in prison learning
the same thing. My foster Mom & Dad just adore me! Mom says I am quite
clever & smart! Dad & I are the best cuddle buddies!!! He couldn't
resist letting me curl up next to him to watch our favorite TV programs
& eat our popcorn! It's an evening ritual! I'm just a light-weight for a
BC boy, too! So, I don't take up too much room! Because I'm a little
unsure sometimes, I need to live with someone with experience with shy
dogs & help me build my confidence. I should not go to a home with
children.
