Adopting a Border Collie (Where do they come from, and how can I adopt one?)

My name is Max. I'm really just a little guy for a male BC. I know all my basic commands cause I was trained in the prison program. I'm crate & house trained. I'm very outgoing. I like to play with the other dogs. I don't like to be bossed by the other male dogs. I have a really nice shiney coat & am pretty athletic. I love to cuddle & "affection" is my middle name! If you want a nice companion BC mix, that would be me!   I do need an experienced dog person.
